Owner Van Driver (Self-Employed Multi-Drop Delivery Driver)
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and experienced Owner Van Drivers for a self-employed multi-drop delivery role. This position involves delivering parcels to primarily residential addresses, with some business deliveries, across designated routes. Drivers can expect to complete approximately 100–120 stops per day on average.
This role offers flexibility and independence and is ideal for drivers who are organised, customer-focused, and capable of managing a busy delivery schedule efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop deliveries using your own van, following planned routes and delivery schedules.
- Deliver parcels safely, accurately, and on time to residential and commercial customers.
- Use a delivery app on your mobile phone to manage routes, scan parcels, and complete deliveries.
- Maintain communication with the transport team and report any delivery issues promptly.
- Handle parcels with care and perform manual handling tasks where required.
- Complete all delivery records and proof-of-delivery requirements accurately.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure your van remains roadworthy and compliant.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Requirements
- Own a suitable van for delivery work.
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience is essential.
- Valid UK driving licence with a good driving record.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Smartphone with data access to operate the delivery app.
- Good geographical awareness and route-planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
