Overview
We are seeking a skilled Polyurethane Molding Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining polyurethane moulding equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in fabrication, assembly, and materials handling. The successful applicant will contribute to the efficient running of the production process while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
Design of molds, use of CAD, 3D printing and Knowledge of cmm / inspection equipment will also be required. Training would be given where appropriate
Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor polyurethane moulding machines to produce components according to specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to optimise production efficiency.
- Fabricate and modify tooling using Fusion CAD software , 3d printer and engineering equipment to meet specific moulding requirements.
- Perform inspections of moulded parts for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of raw materials and finished products.
- Assist with assembly processes where required, ensuring components are correctly fitted and assembled according to technical drawings.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Document production activities accurately using standard procedures and reports.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Practical knowledge of mechanical systems, tooling, milling, welding, and materials handling techniques.
- Experience operating hand tools and machinery used in fabrication or moulding processes.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Previous exposure to polyurethane or plastics manufacturing ie required
- Strong understanding of safety protocols within a manufacturing environment. This role is suitable for individuals with a solid technical background who are organised, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: £24,420.00-£50,454.36 per year
