About the role
We're looking for an experienced Training Manager to take strategic ownership of our nationwide trainer network.
You'll be responsible for ensuring our network has the right capacity, the right people and the right quality standards to support continued business growth. From workforce planning and recruitment through to compliance, quality assurance and trainer engagement, you'll have oversight of the entire trainer lifecycle.
You'll lead our Training & Compliance team, work closely with our Lead IQA, act as the key relationship holder with our awarding organisation (CTQ), and ensure our trainer network remains compliant, audit-ready and prepared for future regulatory change.

- Forecast trainer capacity up to 12 months ahead and identify recruitment needs before they impact service delivery.
- Oversee trainer allocation, ensuring courses are fully resourced through effective planning and performance monitoring.
- Lead trainer recruitment campaigns, identifying recruitment priorities and working alongside the Lead IQA throughout selection, assessment and probation.
- Line manage the Training & Compliance team, providing coaching, one-to-ones, objective setting and performance reviews.
- Support the Lead IQA by providing strategic oversight while maintaining the independence of quality assurance decisions.
- Act as the primary contact with our awarding organisation (CTQ) and oversee compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the trainer network remains audit-ready by maintaining oversight of compliance, quality standards and legislative changes.
- Drive trainer engagement through effective communication, recognition initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Produce management reports and analyse performance data to support business planning and decision-making.

- A good understanding of compliance, governance and quality assurance processes.
- Confidence using data, KPIs and reporting to support operational and strategic decisions.
- The ability to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to work confidently with business systems.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
