Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Senior Chip Timing Technician. As a Chip Timing Technician, you will be responsible for accurately timing various sporting events across the UK using our chip timing technology. This is a great opportunity for entry-level individuals looking to gain experience in the events industry and be a vital part of event operations.
Pay
We offer an annual salary of £26,500 - £30,000, subject to experience in chip timing

Work Schedule
Monday: Day off
Tuesday: At an Event or Event planning / post-event administration or stock management/unloading or loading vehicles / Attend debrief event meetings
Wednesday: At an Event or Event planning / post-event administration or stock management/unloading or loading vehicles
Thursday: Day off
Friday: At an Event or Event planning / post-event administration or stock management/unloading or loading vehicles
Saturday: At an event
Sunday: At an event
The above schedule can vary slightly, subject to seasonal peaks and company demand; however, the working week would be equivalent to 40 hours. (On some event occasions, we support Ultras, which are 72-hour events and can exceed the 40 hour week. This occurs on rare occasions, and accommodations will be made to support). You will be required to be on-site at our North office during the working days, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Chip Timing
Ensure arrival on-site before the event's expected time to set high standards for representing RTS punctuality. Set up /pack down and operate timing equipment effectively at assigned events. Ensure accurate recording of participant data and timings is collected, then transferred onto our operating system. Coordinate with event organisers and participants accordingly throughout each event to ensure a seamless experience. Represent Race Timing Solution's core values and be professional when involved in any aspect of the company's responsibilities. Troubleshoot any technical or physical issues with timing equipment. Report any issues or concerns with the RTS equipment to your Team Leader or the Operations Manager via the feedback system. Provide honest event feedback to support the company and individual development.
Stock Management
This role will require you to attend our North Office, based in Manchester, 3 times a week, where you will be responsible for managing stock and maintenance of equipment. It is important that all products are taken care of and correctly managed to ensure a longer lifespan. You will be responsible for unloading and loading equipment from the North vehicles.
Administrative Tasks
Responsible for completing all admin tasks for all events you are allocated to, to ensure a smooth operation. In addition to any North events, ensure a smooth operation and support with the North infrastructure. Coordinate with the allocated Team Leader and Operations Manager for the event assignments to be completed weekly, fortnightly, and Monthly. Attend all 1-2-1and team meetings with the Team Leader or Operations Manager, or Training Lead to support self-development. Complete the online training provided when onboarded with the company in the allocated time frame. Achieve the monthly and quarterly KPI set by my allocated Team Leader and Operations Manager to support with bonus targets and individual performance.
Requirements for the Role

- Must have access to a reliable internet connection for remote work assignments
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Must have a full standard manual UK driving license
