- Previous experience in bar service is appreciated but not a requirement.
- Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card transactions using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Restock bar supplies and monitor stock levels to ensure availability of popular items
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and offering recommendations
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to licensing laws
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables as needed during busy periods
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the venue during shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments is desirable, particularly within a restaurant or bar setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked
- A personable attitude with strong communication skills
