The Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our cheese production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production planning, maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards, managing production teams, and driving operational excellence throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Lead, motivate, and develop production teams across multiple shifts.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production performance, productivity, waste reduction, and operational efficiencies.
- Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives.
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
- Manage staffing requirements, training, and performance reviews.
- Ensure equipment and production lines operate effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate production records and reporting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing.
- Strong experience within cheese manufacturing or dairy production is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and quality systems.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to analyse production data and implement improvements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing production planning and operational KPIs.
