Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lebanese Chef specialised in authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine to join our dynamic team at a renowned restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining exceptional culinary standards, and leading the kitchen team to deliver outstanding dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Lebanese dishes, maintaining traditional flavours, recipes, and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and managing daily kitchen operations
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality control
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent customer satisfaction
- Monitor food safety practices and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies
- Assist in menu development by introducing innovative Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes while respecting culinary traditions
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and served to the highest quality standards during busy service periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a Lebanese, Middle Eastern, or Mediterranean restaurant setting
- Strong background in Lebanese food preparation, grilling, mezze, bakery items, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within restaurant operations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong team management and communication skills to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively
- Good understanding of food production processes and quality control measures
- Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and culinary excellence
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of hygiene
- Passion for authentic Lebanese cuisine and creating memorable dining experiences
Pay: £12.21-£19.34 per hour
