Kidspace is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Playworker to join our friendly wraparound care team at Sapcote.
This is a rewarding role where you'll help create a safe, fun and engaging environment for primary school-aged children before and after school. You'll support children through play, encourage their independence, and help ensure every child has a positive experience while attending the club.

Location & Hours (Term Time Only)
Sapcote
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.
- Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities, games and crafts.
- Support children's social, emotional and physical development through play.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Assist with setting up and tidying away activities and equipment each day.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and Kidspace policies and procedures.
- Complete registers and assist with accident, incident and medication records where required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support children to build confidence, independence and friendships.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required.
- Support the wider Kidspace team when needed.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and helping them learn through play.
- Is friendly, enthusiastic and dependable.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
- Has experience working with children in a school, childcare, sports coaching, youth work or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare, or is willing to undertake training.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).
Qualifications
No specific qualification is required.
Relevant childcare or playwork qualifications are welcomed but not essential. Full induction and ongoing training will be provided, including mandatory safeguarding and compliance training.
