Virtual Pharmacist is looking for experienced Pharmacy Technicians, based anywhere in the UK, to support GP practices remotely from home, on both a full-time and part-time, self-employed basis.
We are passionate about reducing the administrative and medication burden on General Practice teams, allowing them to focus on patient care, practice development, and professional wellbeing.

Role Requirements
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) (Required)
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmacy Services (Required)
- Previous experience working within General Practice, PCNs or similar primary care settings (Required)
- Excellent clinical and technical knowledge of medicines management processes
- Strong communication, IT, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement
Role Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to)
- Support the Clinical Pharmacist team in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services
- Process discharge summaries and clinic letters from secondary care
- Assist in medicines reconciliation and optimisation activities
- Manage medication safety monitoring processes (e.g. high-risk drug audits and recalls)
- Support medication reviews under the supervision of a Clinical Pharmacist
- Provide advice to patients on the safe use of medicines
- Help practices achieve QOF, DES, and IIF targets where appropriate
- Undertake prescription audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Promote and maintain adherence to local and national prescribing guidelines and policies
- Liaise with GPs, nurses, administrative teams, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Carry out other tasks as required to support practice operations

- Contract length: 12 Months +
- Location: Remote / Work from home
- Minimum hours: 18 hours per week for part-time roles
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
- Pay: £18-£20 per hour (depending on experience)
