The Role
As Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality care while maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards.
You will lead and support the staff team, build positive relationships with residents and families, and help create a welcoming environment where people feel respected, valued, and cared for.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the care home
- Ensure high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
- Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team
- Manage staffing, recruitment, and rota planning
- Support resident wellbeing and family engagement
- Monitor care plans, safeguarding, and health & safety practices
- Manage budgets and occupancy where required
- Promote a positive culture within the home
About You
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a care home setting
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and safeguarding
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage teams effectively and confidently
- Passionate about delivering exceptional care
Desirable:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care
- Dementia care experience
- Experience managing budgets and occupancy
