Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Baby Room Practitioner on a Full time basis, to join our baby room team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies and young children. The Baby Room Practitioner will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for babies and young children within the baby room, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, routines, and any concerns to share with parents and colleagues.
- Ensure a welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and learning through play.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including hygiene standards and safeguarding policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, routines, and any issues that arise.
- Assist in organising daily routines such as feeding, nappy changing, and sleep schedules.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, especially baby room.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with children, showing patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Flexible to work across all age ranges as and when required.
