Multi-Skilled Joiner – Social Housing | Oldham
Recruit is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Joiner to join their growing team, working on residential social housing projects across Oldham and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working on a variety of installation, maintenance and refurbishment projects.
Position Details

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Pay Type: PAYE with accrued holiday pay

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out all aspects of joinery work, including first fix, second fix and finishing works.
- Installing doors, windows, staircases, kitchens and fitted furniture.
- Undertaking repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works within occupied and void social housing properties.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Liaising professionally with tenants, clients, contractors and colleagues.
- Supporting projects with additional multi-trade duties where required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter.
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Valid Blue CSCS Card (essential).
- Multi-skilled experience, with knowledge of trades such as plastering, tiling or plumbing being advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and resolve issues on-site.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Own tools and transport required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
