Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
- Cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities
- Support with meal presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Organise ingredients and kitchen equipment for efficient workflow
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
- Support serving staff during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Clean and sanitise work surfaces, utensils, and equipment after use
- Assist in stock control and inventory management
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Basic understanding of culinary techniques and meal presentation
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen environment
