Nursery Manager (4 Days per Week)

Stepping Stones Childcare is looking for an experienced, reliable and passionate Nursery Manager to join our friendly team.
This is a 4-day per week leadership role for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting a team and maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and education.
A key requirement of this role is that you will reliably open the nursery at least four mornings each week. We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable and takes pride in ensuring every day starts smoothly for both children and staff.
This is primarily an out-of-ratio management role, however you will be expected to step into ratio and support the team whenever operationally required.
What you'll be doing
- Open the nursery at least four mornings each week.
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
- Inspire, support and develop the staff team.
- Ensure the nursery consistently delivers high-quality care and education.
- Maintain excellent safeguarding and compliance standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals.
- Support the Director in driving continuous improvement across the nursery.
- Step into ratio when needed to support the smooth running of the setting.
What we're looking for
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 desirable).
- Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive and professional approach.
- Outstanding reliability, punctuality and attendance.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional childcare.
