Security Officer - Cairnryan
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, rotating days and nights
- 06:30 – 18:30
- 18:30 – 06:30
We are recruiting Security Officers to join a busy port operation at Cairnryan. This role is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of passengers, staff, vessels, and port facilities while delivering a professional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct passenger screening and security searches.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and carry out baggage inspections.
- Perform vehicle security checks prior to boarding.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas.
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the port.
- Monitor CCTV and respond to security incidents.
- Complete reports, logs, and security documentation.
- Provide professional assistance and guidance to passengers.
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence.
- Previous security experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to commute to Cairnryan for the required shift pattern.
Desirable Experience
- Maritime, aviation, transport, or port security experience.
- Knowledge of ISPS security procedures.
- Military or policing background.
