Kennedys is seeking a talented and driven Senior Associate (5+ years' PQE) to join our Financial & Commercial / Professional Liability team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded practice advising on complex, high-value financial lines claims, with a particular focus on Directors' & Officers' (D&O) liability.
You will play a key role in handling a broad range of financial lines matters, including D&O, financial institutions, and professional indemnity claims. The work will be varied and often high-profile, involving both coverage and defence instructions for insurers and corporate clients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of complex D&O and financial lines claims
- Advising insurers and insureds on policy coverage issues
- Handling litigation in the High Court and coordinating multi-jurisdictional disputes
- Supporting partners on large-scale and strategic matters
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to business development initiatives and thought leadership
We are looking for a commercially minded and technically strong lawyer who thrives in a collaborative environment.
You will have:
- Minimum 5 years' PQE with a strong background in financial lines
- Demonstrable experience in D&O liability work
- Experience advising insurers and/or corporate clients
- Strong litigation and/or coverage expertise
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- A proactive approach to client service and business development
