Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Catworth / Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £49,000 per year + overtime opportunities
Hours: Average 40 hours per week on rotating 3-week shift pattern
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern
Week 1: Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 18:00 (45 hours)
Week 2: Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 15:00 (45 hours)
Week 3: Tuesday to Thursday – 07:00 to 17:00 (30 hours)
Total: 120 hours over 3 weeks (Average 40 hours per week)

Sundown Products Ltd is a leading manufacturer of animal feed and bedding products, operating a busy 24/7 production facility with multiple automated production lines.
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our site engineering team and help maintain plant reliability, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site machinery and equipment
· Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
· Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults effectively
· Maintain conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts and associated equipment
· Support installation of new machinery and improvement projects
· Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient plant performance
· Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
· Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Skills & Experience Required
· Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Skilled Engineer
· Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
· Electrical fault-finding experience advantageous
· Experience within manufacturing, production, FMCG, recycling, agricultural or industrial environments preferred
· Welding / fabrication skills beneficial
· Positive attitude and proactive approach
Qualifications
· Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent preferred
· Mechanical or Electrical qualifications considered
