Overview
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitting Contractor to deliver installation services on a student accommodation project in Birmingham. This is an ongoing engagement for the right candiate .
About the Work
You will be engaged to deliver kitchen installation services, including:
- Measuring and marking out installation points accurately
- Installing kitchen units, cabinets, worktops, and fixtures
- Fabricating bespoke components using hand and power tools
- Fitting units securely to walls and floors
- Carrying out carpentry tasks related to the installation
- Handling and lifting materials safely
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Experience with hard‑surface worktops is an advantage.
Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen fitting, carpentry, or joinery
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication skills
- Ability to carry out manual handling safely
- Valid CSCS card (required for site access)
- Must be registered under CIS
Engagement Terms
- This is a self‑employed contract for services
- Contractors determine their own working methods to meet agreed deliverables
- Contractors supply their own tools, equipment, PPE and insurance.
- Substitution is permitted, subject to reasonable approval
- No obligation for ongoing work beyond the agreed scope
- Payment is for completion of services, not hours worked
Pay: £900.00-£1,000.00 per week
