HGV Technician – Permanent Late Shift (Bristol)
Pay: Up to £23.00 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 14:30 – 00:00 (45 hours per week) – No Saturdays
Contract: Permanent
Earning Potential (OTE)
- Hourly Rate: Up to £23.00 per hour
- Basic Salary: Up to £53,820 per year (based on 45-hour week)
- Overtime Rate: Paid at time-and-a-half (1.5x) – up to £34.50 per hour
- With 3 hours overtime per week: + £5,382 per year
- Realistic OTE: £59,200+ per year
Overview
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join an expanding team at a busy commercial vehicle dealership in Bristol. This role offers a permanent late shift (2:30pm–midnight) with no Saturday working, competitive hourly rates up to £23.00, and the opportunity to boost your earnings with overtime paid at time-and-a-half. With a dealership background preferred, this is a great opportunity for a skilled technician to work in a modern, well-equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
- Perform diagnostics and fault-finding to manufacturer standards
- Ensure all work meets industry and safety standards
- Complete accurate job cards and documentation
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
What You'll Need
- Recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
- Dealership background is preferred
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Full UK driving licence
