Hours:
25–40 per week, flexible. Must be available to work weekends. Weekend shifts are half-days maximum, with two days off during the week (e.g., Mon/Tue or Wed/Thu).
Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Bar/Waitress to join our team. The role involves serving drinks and food, providing excellent customer service, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Location
The Swan, Whittington, Old Road, Worcester, WR5 2RL.
Example Weekly Rota:
- Mon: 12 – F
- Tue: 9 – 5
- Wed: Off
- Thu: Off
- Fri: 5 – F
- Sat: 12 – 6
- Sun: 4 – F
(F = 9/10pm, no later than 10:30pm)
Weekend shifts alternate weekly between day and night, and we are flexible with staff swapping or adjusting shifts between colleagues.
Example Shifts
- 9am – 3pm & 6pm – F
- 9am – 5pm
- 12pm – 6pm
- 12pm – E
- 2pm – E
- 4pm – F
- 5pm – F
Key:
- E = Early evening finish (usually around 7–8:30pm)
- F = Finish (usually around 9–10:30pm)
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food while delivering friendly, professional service
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Keep the bar and service areas clean and organised
- Process payments and assist during busy service periods
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
What We're Looking For
- A positive, friendly attitude and good people skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and a good team player
- Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not essential
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
