Job Overview
We are seeking a female compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. The Healthcare Assistant will support patients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing while following care plans and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and families.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in maintaining their hygiene and overall health.
- Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide updates on patient conditions.
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure each patient's needs are met.
- Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately.
- Drive to patients’ homes when required for home care services, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to schedules.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a similar is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and work collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits.
- A caring attitude towards individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.
