Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner / skilled carpenter to join our workshop team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision workshop joinery and takes pride in producing quality products that meet strict performance. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, joinery, and the use of hand and power tools. The Workshop Joiner will contribute to the production of high-quality bespoke joinery products, ensuring all work meets safety standards and client specifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in manufacturing to develop their skills further within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble timber fire doors within a workshop environment
- Carry out accurate cutting, machining, fitting, and assembly using hand and power tools
- Work from production drawings and specifications to ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards
- Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow company procedures and quality standards to ensure fire door compliance
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications accurately to ensure precise construction.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines whilst adhering to quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or timber manufacturing
- Confident using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment
- Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining high quality standards
- Experience manufacturing timber doors or fire doors is desirable but not essential

Pay: £13.46-£16.83 per hour
