Overview
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Solar Administrator to join our growing renewable energy team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Solar PV projects by producing quotations, managing customer enquiries, maintaining project records, and coordinating administrative processes from enquiry through to installation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the solar industry and be proficient in using solar design and quotation software to prepare accurate proposals for domestic and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce Solar PV quotations and proposals using industry-standard solar software packages.
* Create and review system designs based on customer requirements and survey information.
* Process customer enquiries and maintain accurate records within company systems.
* Liaise with customers, installers, surveyors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
* Schedule surveys and installations where required.
* Prepare and submit documentation required for project progression.
* Maintain project files and ensure all information is accurately recorded.
* Monitor project progress and assist with resolving administrative issues.
* Support management with reporting and project tracking.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry requirements.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working within the Solar PV industry.
* Experience using solar design and quotation software to create customer proposals and quotes.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
* Professional and customer-focused approach.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience using software such as Easy PV, OpenSolar, SolarEdge Designer, Aurora Solar, or similar platforms.
* Knowledge of MCS requirements and Solar PV installation processes.
* Experience working within domestic renewable energy or ECO4 sectors.
* Familiarity with CRM systems.
* Understanding of DNO applications and grid connection processes.
* Experience producing technical proposals and system performance reports.
