Helch Food Market is an exciting, multi-concept venue bringing together a vibrant food hall with five independent food vendors, a high-energy bar, and interactive darts. Downstairs, we offer a more intimate experience with a speakeasy-style cocktail bar featuring vinyl DJs and a curated drinks menu. We aim to deliver exceptional hospitality across all areas of the venue.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of this dynamic, multi-bar venue. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth service, maintain high standards, and create an outstanding guest experience across both floors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in all aspects of venue operations
- Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse front-of-house team
- Oversee service across the food hall, main bar, and speakeasy cocktail bar
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle guest feedback professionally
- Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance management
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance
- Support stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Help drive sales and create a lively, welcoming atmosphere
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager (or similar role) in a busy hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in multi-site or multi-concept venues is highly desirable
- Knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, and high-volume service
- Passion for hospitality, music, and creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems quickly
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
