We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to deliver Maths and careers / employability as a second subject. This will be based at our Middlewich site in Crewe.

Mile House School provides education for boys aged 11–18 years with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Our Middlewich site offers both education and residential accommodation for up to 5 young people, allowing us to provide a highly supportive and personalised learning environment.

Key Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in line with the Maths curriculum and educational standards.
- Use creative and differentiated teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Provide additional support, tutoring and mentoring to students who require further assistance.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, assessments and feedback.
- Review and assess student work to support improvement in grammar, spelling, comprehension and written expression.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to remain up to date with teaching practices.
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
Skills & Experience
- Hold a certificate of education or QTS
- Specialism in Maths
- Experience of teaching pupils with SEND
- Be able to show flexibility and adapt your teaching styles to meet individual and group needs
- Ability to teach other subjects – careers is desirable
- Resilience, patience and commitment when working with challenging behaviours.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improving teaching practice.
Working Pattern: 5 days a week - term time only. Potential for flexibility and part time work.
Salary: Dependent on experience
