- Field Based – Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and surrounding areas
- £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

The Role
We are seeking experienced Multi Skilled Operatives to support the delivery of repairs, void refurbishments, planned kitchens and bathrooms, damp and mould works and property improvements within the social housing sector.
This role involves working in both occupied and unoccupied properties, ensuring all works are completed safely, compliantly, right first time and to a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Successful candidates will be expected to represent Laker BMS professionally at all times and contribute towards achieving key performance indicators, including quality, compliance, customer satisfaction and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out multi-trade repairs and maintenance works within social housing properties.
- Complete void refurbishment works to agreed specifications and programmes.
- Undertake kitchen and bathroom replacement works where required.
- Carry out minor plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating and associated repairs.
- Identify and report additional works, health and safety concerns and property defects.
- Accurately record completed works using company technology.
- Capture clear photographic evidence before, during and after works.
- Ensure properties are left clean, safe and secure upon completion.
- Deliver excellent customer service when working within occupied homes.
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Contract Managers and Client Representatives.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, RAMS and Health & Safety requirements.

Candidates must possess strong skills in:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Plastering
- Decorating
- Basic Tiling
- General Multi-Trade Maintenance
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience within property maintenance, repairs or refurbishment.
- Experience working within social housing, local authority or housing association contracts.
- Experience working within occupied and void properties.
- Understanding of quality control and right-first-time delivery.

- Compliance Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be willing to undergo DBS checks where required.
- Hold relevant trade qualifications or demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Provide their own hand tools.
- Have a strong understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities.
