The Governors of Salterforth Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant with recent experience to join our dynamic, team. Salterforth Primary School is a small school with a big heart: a school where children, staff, parents and governors are actively involved in the children's education, We firmly believe it takes a village to raise a child. We strive to create a happy, healthy environment where our children can excel in all areas of their lives. We are looking for a teaching assistant who is flexible and able to work in all key stages. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
Please note, the hours advertised are for academic year 2026-2027 and are subject to review each academic year with a standard minimum hours contract in place.

Essential Qualifications
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of primary school age
- Experience of working in relevant key stages (EYFS / KS 1 / KS2)
Desirable Experience
Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
