Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various aspects of construction projects, contributing to the safe and efficient completion of building tasks. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up equipment.
- Support skilled tradespeople such as roofers, plumbers, welders, electricians, carpenters, masons, and painters in their daily tasks.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Help with the installation of roofing, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, plastering, masonry work, and carpentry tasks as directed.
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with site clean-up and waste disposal at the end of each working day.
- Support in the setup of scaffolding or other temporary structures as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or related trades is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, plastering, fabrication, masonry, carpentry, or construction painting is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Basic understanding of schematics and technical drawings is desirable.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary.
- Strong teamwork ethic with good communication skills.
- A valid UK driving licence is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Commitment to health and safety standards on-site.
