We are recruiting on behalf of a large and well-established waste management company operating advanced recycling and waste processing facilities. The business specialises in the handling, separation, and production of waste-derived fuels, supporting energy recovery operations across the UK. The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Waste / Production Supervisor with a strong background in the waste management sector, specifically within static plant operations and waste-to-energy processes.
This role will involve overseeing the daily running of the site, managing operational teams, and ensuring the efficient production of RDF and SRF fuel products.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining productivity, safety, and operational standards across the facility.

Typical hours: 07:00am – 05:00pm
Flexibility may be required depending on operational needs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Supervising daily production and waste processing operations
-
Managing staff across the plant and ensuring smooth day-to-day running

Overseeing RDF and SRF fuel lines and associated production processes

Monitoring plant performance, productivity, and material throughput

Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Coordinating maintenance requirements and minimising downtime

Supporting continuous improvement across operations and production efficiency

Communicating effectively with management, site teams, and external contacts

Assisting with operational planning and staffing requirements
Requirements
-
Previous experience within the waste management industry (essential)
-
Strong static plant / waste processing background (essential)
-
Previous supervisory or management experience within production or waste operations (essential)

Experience working with RDF / SRF fuel production lines (highly desirable)

Strong leadership and organisational skills
-
Good communication and problem-solving abilities
-
Flexibility with working hours when required
Additional qualifications or industry certifications would be highly beneficial.
