Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily routines, promoting independence where possible
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Follow personalised care plans to deliver tailored support to each individual
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Support the organisation of activities and social engagement programmes for residents
Skills
- Driving licence is desirable for supporting home care visits
- Previous experience or familiarity with care homes or home care services is advantageous
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans accurately
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable, patient, and attentive to residents’ needs
