Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding tasks.
- Construct, repair, and maintain structures using bricks, mortar, and other building materials.
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, measuring and marking dimensions accurately.
- Apply masonry techniques such as bricklaying and stonework with precision.
- Perform roofing tasks including installation, repairs, and maintenance of roofing systems.
- Operate welding equipment safely to join metal components as required.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools in construction settings.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project plans accurately.
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in similar environments is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team under supervision.
