Job Overview
We are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to support the analytical function of an environmental laboratory specialising in soil and environmental testing.The role involves conducting routine and semi routine laboratory analyses, operating analytical instrumentation, and ensuring high quality data generation in line with quality standards.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on analytical role, suited to someone who is organised, efficient, and keen to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting routine and semi-routine soil and environmental laboratory analyses.
- Running analytical instruments and inspecting results for method performance.
- Instruments may include Gallery analysers, TOCs, HPLC, ICP-OES, ICP-MS and others.
- Loading soil samples, preparing batches, and ensuring correct preparation for analysis.
- Processing, importing, and reviewing results within laboratory information management system.
- Performing analytical testing in line with documented SOPs.
- Recording, verifying, and carrying out basic interpretation of analytical data.
- Ensuring all work meets quality, compliance, and health and safety standards.
- Supporting method execution and maintaining analytical throughput in a fast-paced soil testing environment.

Contract: Temporary to Permanent
