Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of Portal Frame Fabrication. Duties
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily Portal Frame Components.
- Fabricate parts and structures according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently to assemble and modify components.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using appropriate tools, ensuring precise fit-up for assembly.
- Conduct quality checks on welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Skills
- Proven experience in MIG welding with a strong understanding of BS EN 1090 CE welding standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand assembly processes and interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements .
- Strong attention to detail to ensure weld quality and accurate fabrication.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Pay: £12.33-£15.00 per hour
