Business Operations Apprentice
(Town Hall, South Shields)
£8.22 per hour
Fixed Term Contract for 24 Months
We have an exciting role on offer within our Digital and ICT Service as a Level 3 Business Operations Apprentice. We are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person with excellent interpersonal and IT skills, with an interest in gaining experience of working in D&ICT.
As a member of the D&ICT Service you will provide support across the teams and your duties will include:
- Providing administrative support to the D&ICT Service including Business Operations and Senior Management Team Support;
- Carrying out purchasing and ordering activity in accordance with procurement procedures;
- Supporting the management of all D&ICT contracts and suppliers to support the delivery of the D&ICT Strategy.

We offer a structured apprenticeship programme with full support from a trained assessor to complete the qualification and a workplace mentor to provide on-going support.
For this apprenticeship the following are required:
- Maths and English Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications grade A* to C (or 4 to 9).
- ECHP: For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeships English and Maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification are an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.
