Canine Carer – Join the Pack at Smith’s Canine Club!
Location: Smith’s Pets, Teesside
Salary: Starting at National Minimum Wage, with opportunities for progression
Hours: Full-time & part-time positions available – no zero-hour contracts
Shifts: Between 7.15 AM – 6.30 PM, on a rota basis
Do you have a sixth sense for tail wags? Can you tell the difference between a “play with me” bark and an “I just saw a squirrel” bark? If so, you might be the Canine Carer we’re looking for!
Smith’s Pets is launching Smith’s Canine Club a brand-new, purpose-built licensed dog day boarding facility offering outstanding canine care in Teesside. We need fun, caring, and hardworking humans to keep our four-legged guests safe, happy, and entertained. You’ll be joining our already amazing team, so we’re after someone who brings great energy, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love for dogs!
What’s in a Day’s Work?
- Supervising groups and making sure everyone plays nicely
- Providing cuddles, belly rubs, and the occasional game of fetch
- Keeping a close eye on behaviour and stepping in before any doggy drama starts
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and happy environment. Yes, that includes poop patrol!
- Chatting with owners and making them feel confident their pup is in the best hands
Are You Our Kind of Canine Carer?
Experience working with dogs in a professional setting (kennels, daycare, training, rescue)
A Level 3 qualification in Animal Care is a bonus but not essential
Confident with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities
Happy working shifts between 7 AM – 7 PM because dog fun doesn’t run on a 9–5!
