£13:50 initial rate and £14:00 after 6 months probation completed.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal spaces to ensure compliance with health standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and used efficiently
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Ensure all cleaning activities are completed within scheduled timeframes while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting and bending
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
