Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver/Forklift Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves using a forklift to load a flatbed van and then delivering the load.
Role is 9am-5pm
Immediate start for 19/06/2026
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Drive vans for local deliveries , adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of materials
- Utilise warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
- Perform basic equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and organisation of stock
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment, including forklifts and delivery vehicles
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as organising storage areas and preparing items for dispatch
- Use mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or troubleshooting of equipment when necessary
- Apply basic maths skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to shipments
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment, with relevant certification preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping & receiving procedures
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Strong materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
- Good organisational skills to manage stock levels and documentation accurately
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations related to inventory management
- Valid driving licence suitable for van operation; clean driving record essential
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking throughout shifts
Pay: £13.00 per hour
