Chef – Exmouth Pavilion (Seafront Café & Theatre Venue)

Join the team at Exmouth Pavilion’s Theatre Café a unique seafront venue where no two days feel the same. You’ll be cooking for a mix of locals, visitors and theatre-goers, all while working in a small, supportive kitchen where your contribution really matters.
This is a role where you can take ownership, work with autonomy and genuinely enjoy being in the kitchen again without the burnout that often comes with hospitality.

About the role
You’ll work closely with our other Chefs to deliver a fresh, varied food offer across:

Breakfast and lunch service
-
Café favourites and light bites
-
Pre-theatre dining with exciting plans to expand into more creative, high-quality pre-show menus
But this isn’t just a support role.
You’ll be trusted to step up and run the kitchen when needed, maintaining standards and delivering great food whether you’re working solo or as part of the team.
You’ll also:

Prepare fresh, high-quality dishes with consistency

Contribute ideas to menu development

Maintain excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards

Manage deliveries, stock and organisation using Procure Wizard

Work flexibly as part of a small, collaborative team
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is confident, capable and enjoys taking ownership:

Experience in a busy kitchen

Level 2 Food Hygiene (or willing to gain)
-
Confidence to work independently
-
A team player who thrives in a close-knit environment
-
Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
-
Passion for food and delivering a great customer experience
-
Comfortable using basic systems for stock and ordering
