How the role will make an impact:
Quanex requires an NPD Procurement Specialist who will act as the key focal point for the procurement department as part of New Product Development (NPD) projects.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Lead, as the operational Procurement representative, the selection, evaluation and qualification of suppliers for new components and finished products. This includes RFQ issuance and analysis-evaluating both economic competitiveness and supply chain solidity and sustainability-as well as supporting make-or-buy analyses and onboarding new suppliers in alignment with the corporate policies.

Monitor NPD milestones and requirements, tracking progress against quality, cost and schedule targets.
- Develops structured action plans to resolve projects or process bottlenecks and criticalities linked to the Procurement processes.

Collaborate closely with the Procurement Commodity Buyers to align operational activities with global sourcing strategies.

Lead supplier negotiations under the guidance and supervision of the Procurement Leader and the Buyer.
- Coordinate activities between the Engineering team and suppliers involved in product development projects, with the aim of clearly defining technical requirements, performance and final validation of components.
Key Skills:

Bachelor's Degree is desirable in engineering, procurement or a business-related discipline.

Proven experience of procurement experience, with previous experience in project execution.
- CIPS accredited

Working in a multinational environment with a global supply base.
