Dalesway Pharmacy is looking to recruit an experienced, qualified Pharmacy Dispenser to join our friendly and professional team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy community pharmacy and takes pride in delivering an efficient, organised and patient-focused dispensing service.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and confident in their role, with the experience to work independently as part of a supportive pharmacy team.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced dispenser who enjoys taking ownership of their work and is looking to become a valued long-term member of our team.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
✔ Minimum NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing qualification
✔ Minimum 2 years' recent community pharmacy dispensing experience
✔ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✔ Good attention to detail and a high level of dispensing accuracy
✔ The ability to prioritise workload within a busy dispensary
✔ A positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team
✔ Experience using Titan PMR would be advantageous
Please note: Applications without the required pharmacy dispensing qualification and recent community pharmacy experience will not be considered.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dispensing NHS and private prescriptions
- Labelling and assembling medicines
- Ordering and managing dispensary stock
- Supporting patients with prescription and over-the-counter enquiries
- Liaising with GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals
- Preparing prescriptions for collection and delivery
- Supporting the delivery of NHS clinical services, including the Hypertension Case-Finding Service (blood pressure checks), Pharmacy First consultations and other pharmacy-led services
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient dispensary
- Supporting the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy
Working Hours
Full-time: Monday to Friday
There may occasionally be a requirement to provide additional cover for staff holidays or sickness when reasonably required.
