Reporting To: Engineering Manager
Salary: £27,500 – 33,500 DOE + Benefits + Company Vehicle
Location: Field Based / Remote (With occasional travel to Leeds HQ)
Schedule: Monday – Friday + Weekend Overtime (as required)

About the Role:
As a Digital Transformation Specialist, you’ll be a key player in delivering and supporting cutting-edge telecoms and IT infrastructure across the UK. Whether its full system installs (telephone and cabling), troubleshooting a VoIP issue, or programming hosted (IP/VOIP) telephone solutions, you’ll bring solutions that work, right first time.
This field-based role offers flexibility with support from our Solution Delivery team, who manage your diary, logistics, and equipment so you can focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and coordinate installation of telecoms equipment and infrastructure
· Install, configure, and maintain hosted telephony (IP/VoIP) systems
· Troubleshoot and resolve system faults both remotely and on-site
· Installation and fault finding of hosted and VOIP telecom solution
· Conduct comprehensive site surveys
· Terminate and install Cat5e/6 cabling
· Deliver on-site or remote customer training and user support
· Identify and act on recurring issues and process improvement opportunities
· Maintain accurate records of all engineering activities
About You:
You’re a skilled field engineer with a solid background in telecoms, networking, comfortable working independently or as part of team. You take pride in your work, always go the extra mile for customers, and have a can do, solutions focused mindset.
Essential:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar technical/field-based role
- Strong interest in telephony and IT (IP/VOIP) technologies
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proven ability to resolve technical issues under pressure
- Full UK driving licence
- Friendly, customer-focused, and adaptable
Technical Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with systems like Horizon, LG PBX/IP/hosted platforms
- Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, routing, switching. VPNs, DNS, DHCP)
- System programming, diagnostics, and fault resolution
- WiFi design, implementation, and support
- Understanding of Windows, macOS, Mobile apps
- Familiar with moves/adds/changes for PBX and hosted systems
Desirable:
- Experience with Microsoft platforms (Active Directory, Office 365, Share Point, Exchange)
- Willingness to join out-of-hours support rota
- Ability to support and mentor less experience engineers
