The Brompton Deli Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli General Manager to lead our team at our London deli. This is a full-time, daytime position with a competitive salary of £34,000 per year. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, manage a team of five part-time staff, and ensure our customers enjoy excellent service and high-quality products in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the deli, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- Manage stock and inventory, ensuring products are well-stocked and presented.
- Lead, schedule, and support a team of 5 part-time staff (create weekly rotas and supervise staff performance).
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries or issues promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage ordering and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Contributes to managing the deli’s social media presence to promote our offerings and engage the community.
- Prepare basic sales and operational reports for the owners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a Manager or Assistant Manager in a deli, café, or similar hospitality environment (Essential).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- A customer-focused attitude with great communication skills.
- Knowledge of stock control, ordering, and basic reporting.
- Familiarity with health and safety guidelines in food service.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £34,000 per year.
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (37 hours on rota + 3 hours admin). 5 shifts per week (approximately 6–8 hours each), including some weekends (daytime shifts only).
