Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef who has experience in South Indian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Lead food production activities, ensuring consistency and adherence to food safety regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and minimise waste
- Support the development of new menu items and culinary innovations
- Ensure all food preparation meets quality standards and complies with hygiene regulations
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive food production and culinary expertise, including cooking and food preparation skills
- Strong team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service through exceptional cuisine
- Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are preferred

Pay: £26,500.00-£31,500.00 per year
