Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining the company's reputation. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to deliver goods and packages to designated locations across the region.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and timeliness.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes.
- Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Valid <PERSON> driver licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.

Job Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver, you would:
- Deliver fresh produce to trade and household customers
- Follow customer delivery instructions
- Perform basic van maintenance (check fluids, keep van clean)
- Complete simple paperwork (vehicle checks and food safety logs)
- Maintain good customer relationships
Working Hours
- Start time: 5:30 AM (may occasionally change)
- Schedule: Monday – Saturday (6 days per week)
- Will need to complete second delivery runs if required
Requirements
You must:
- Have experience driving Jumbo Transit vans (or similar)
- Have excellent timekeeping
- Be physically fit and able to lift 25 kg
- Be fluent in English (reading and writing)
- Be flexible with workload and schedules
- Be able to follow instructions and interact well with customers
