Job Overview
After a successful first year , we are now seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervisor to join our friendly young team creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere for guests in our new Italian restaurant . You will help set the tone for exceptional service and play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You will also help oversee an enthusiastic team of 15 where many guests are regulars. Exceptional time management and customer service skills are vital, as is a pro active , problem solving approach - always seeking to deliver the best for our customers and to build a happy team.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to during preparation and service.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, providing help where needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Oversee the team as required including contributing to maintaining a positive, and enthusiastic work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential.
- Strong guest services / ;public facing skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences.
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and processing payments effectively.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
