About Us
Flooring Matters SW Ltd is an award-winning independent flooring specialist based in Heathfield, Newton Abbot. We work across residential and commercial projects throughout the South West and are proud winners and finalists of multiple CFJ (Contract Flooring Journal) Awards.
From luxury homes to restaurants, bars, healthcare, social housing and commercial spaces, we create some truly impressive flooring installations — and we’re looking for someone creative to help us showcase them properly online.
We have a busy showroom, an excellent reputation, and loads of exciting projects happening every week. Now we want to grow our social media presence and build a stronger following through engaging, high-quality content.
The Role
We are looking for a creative and reliable person to help manage and grow our social media and marketing content.
This is a flexible role that could suit:
- A freelancer
- A self-employed content creator
- A marketing student looking for extra hours
- Someone already running social accounts for small businesses
The role will involve visiting our jobs and showroom to capture content as projects happen, then editing and posting engaging content across platforms such as:
- Instagram
- Facebook
- LinkedIn
- TikTok (potentially)
Responsibilities
- Visiting local project sites to capture photos and videos
- Creating professional-looking reels and short-form videos
- Editing content for social media
- Writing captions and post copy
- Scheduling and managing posts
- Helping grow engagement and followers
- Creating content around our showroom, team, products and completed projects
- Assisting with marketing campaigns and promotional ideas
Requirements
Please only apply if you meet ALL of the following:
You live within approximately 45 minutes of Heathfield, Newton Abbot
You have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
You are confident filming and editing video content professionally
You are comfortable visiting live sites and speaking with staff/customers when needed
You have examples of previous social media or video work
You are organised, proactive and able to work independently
Ideal Skills
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe, Final Cut or similar editing software
- Understanding of Instagram and Facebook algorithms/trends
- Photography and videography skills
- Experience growing social media accounts organically
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
