Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support our busy shipping team. This role plays a key part in coordinating shipping documentation, processing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and freight partners and ensuring the smooth movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate item records.
- Coordinate shipping files, container allocations and shipment tracking.
- Prepare clearance and shipping documentation for freight forwarders.
- Obtaining quotes from freight forwarders.
- Liasing between China office, warehouse and freight forwarders.
- Review sales contracts for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain shipment data including weights, measurements and CBM details.
- Provide administrative support when required.
- Communicate effectively with buyers and overseas suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Must have 2–3 years’ experience in an admin role within logistics, supply chain, import/export, or freight forwarding.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and international freight processes (experience of shipments from China would be a bonus).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Experience using Microsoft NAV or similar system is desirable.
Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
