Teaching Assistant – Ealing

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to enhance learning, provide targeted support where needed, and contribute to the overall development and wellbeing of pupils, including those with SEN and additional needs. You will help children access learning in a meaningful way, build their confidence, and ensure they feel fully included in classroom activities, while forming positive and supportive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.
In this role, you will be expected to support learning in the classroom, work 1:1 or with small groups when required, assist with delivering activities set by the teacher, and help manage behaviour in a positive and encouraging way. You will also support pupils’ social and emotional development and contribute to creating a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
The Role:
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils, including those with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes
- Deliver interventions to support pupils’ progress in key areas (literacy, numeracy, communication)
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation and engagement in learning
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and support staff
- Support personal care needs where required (if applicable)
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly beneficial
- A patient, caring and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Pay: £95.00-£115.00 per day
