About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils thrive in a structured, supportive and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support based on individual needs
- Assisting pupils with personal care, including toileting, hygiene and mobility support
- Supporting daily living skills, communication and social interaction
- Adapting activities to suit different abilities and learning styles
- Supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation and sensory needs
- Building positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence and independence
Your care or early years experience will allow you to make an immediate impact from day one.

You should be:
- Confident or motivated to work with children and young people with SEN
- Comfortable providing personal care when required
- Patient, adaptable and calm under pressure
- A strong communicator who works well within a team
- Committed to supporting pupil wellbeing, progress and independence
- Available full-time, 8:30am–3:30pm for an immediate start
No formal SEN experience is required — your transferable care or early years background is highly valued.
