Front of House, Receptionist & Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a professional and organised Front of House / Administrative Assistant to act as the first point of contact for our client within a Barristers' Chambers and support the smooth day-to-day running of operations. The role combines reception, administrative, IT, facilities and event support duties, working closely with the Senior Administrative Assistant and senior leadership team. (9-5.30pm Mon-Fri) to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Administration
- Manage reception duties, greet visitors and handle incoming calls.
- Coordinate meeting rooms, refreshments and conference set-ups.
- Maintain reception, kitchen and office supplies.
- Arrange travel, taxis, couriers and hospitality bookings.
- Support senior staff with administrative, HR and operational tasks.
- Prepare induction and welcome packs for new joiners.
- Provide cover for the Senior Administrative Assistant when required.
IT Support
- Schedule Zoom and Teams meetings and assist with video conferencing.
- Provide basic IT support to members and staff.
- Liaise with external IT providers and assist during onsite visits.
- Support troubleshooting of phones, laptops and meeting room technology.
Facilities & Building Management
- Liaise with contractors, cleaners and building management.
- Assist with office security, maintenance reporting and fire safety administration.
- Support office moves, room changes and renovation projects.
Marketing & Events
- Assist with Chambers events and internal functions.
- Provide administrative support for marketing activities and event coordination.
Requirements
- Proven Front of House experience including office experience/previous reception/administration
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently when necessary
